Assistive Technology Overview 2.0 In-Person / Online

Learn how to make your computers, browsers, databases, and ebooks more accessible for your patrons and for you!  In this class we’ll explore built-in settings that can make these resources easier to use for people with disabilities. We’ll also discuss the Title II Digital Accessibility rule, and discover how to ensure that your library’s websites, social media, and other digital resources are accessible to all.

Learn about accessibility settings built into web browsers, databases, and ebook platforms
Learn about the Title II Digital Accessibility rule
Discuss steps to improve the accessibility of your library’s digital resources, including alt text, captions, and document accessibility
