Emotional Labor and Burnout—“I’m too tired to smile today.” (Eastern Shore of MD Staff Only) Online

Examine the impact of emotional labor on burnout and job satisfaction in the workplace. This workshop will explore how the constant pressure to manage emotions and maintain a positive demeanor can paradoxically lead to burnout. Participants will learn strategies for balancing emotional demands and developing coping mechanisms to manage burnout effectively.
Learning Outcomes:
• Recognize the signs and sources of emotional labor and its impact on burnout.
• Develop strategies to manage emotional labor and prevent burnout.
• Create a personal action plan to maintain emotional well-being and job satisfaction.
