Conflict in the Library: Managing, Surviving, and Even Thriving (Eastern Shore of MD Staff Only) Online
Through this workshop, we will examine how conflict occurs in the workplace between co-workers, with leadership or management, as well as with customers/patrons. As we work through developing our understanding of the phases of a conflict, we will gain knowledge, skills, and self-reflexivity for thriving during a conflict. Together, we will learn how conflict is a necessary aspect of effective communication and examine characteristics of conflict, strategies to address conflict, and how to avoid unproductive conflict.
Leave with ways to:
- Understand the phases of conflict.
- Apply conflict negotiation strategies to workplace situations.
- Increase self-awareness and understanding.
This training is only available to staff on the Eastern Shore of MD. Please sign up with your work email address.
